Brigantine "ELEKTRA" is the biggest boat I have ever commanded. She is 105 feet long and can take up to 26 people. Her weight is about 120 tons. I was very curious to see how it was to manouvre that big boat. It was really the most exciting experience. We did 3 trips around Malta. One of them was only for divers, the other 2 for tourists. Most of the time we had to stay on anchor. We decided to visit Sicily once. Distance between Malta and Sicily is about 50 NM. Short voyage for a yachtsman but too long for tourists with seasickness.All staff connected with sailing I had to do by myself because crew members had no sailing experience whatsoever.
